The B-17 Flying Fortress was the most celebrated four-engine American strategic aircraft with production in 1934. During WW11, the B-17 played a prime role or Allied bombers in daytime bombing. Undergoing successive improvement with the turning point of B-17E for which the rear fuselage was completely redesigned to retain greater flying stability. Since its first flight on July 28, 1935, the 8,680 B-17G's out of the total production of 12,726 became the most popular variant of the Flying Fortress.
